As the years go by, it’s normal to think back to the “good old days”, and the friends you used to have. It may have been a long time since you last were in touch with some of your friends. Would you like to catch up with those good friends again? Here are a few ideas you can try to help you reunite with old friends.
Attend one of your High School Reunions.
Most high schools arrange a ten-year reunion, which takes place a decade after graduation. Some will also have twenty and thirty year reunions. This is a wonderful place to reunite with old friends because everyone in attendance is there specifically because they want to catch up with people they have lost touch with since high school. There will be time to talk, and also to meet their spouses and children. You can trade email addresses and phone numbers to continue to keep in touch with each other.
Use some Social Media networks to reconnect.
There are a variety of online websites you can sign up to and use to reunite with old friends. Classmates.com will help you connect to the people you went to high school with. Facebook.com is a great way to reunite with old friends! You can search for people who went to your high school, or your college. People can choose to list the companies they worked for, which allows you to find former co-workers. Once you accept a friend request from someone on Facebook, the system will point out other people who you might also know. MySpace is another website that allows you to connect with friends, but, this site seems to be geared for teens and young adults.
Visit your hometown.
There are many people who never leave the town they grew up in. They marry their high school sweetheart, start a family, and find employment nearby. If you are a person who has left home and set up a life far, far away from there, it may be time for a visit. Try attending a football game at your old high school. Your old friends may be there. Check out the local shopping mall, (if it is still there), because your hometown friends are likely to be shopping there, and you may run into each other. Visit the church you used to be active in, and find your old friends waiting.
